Hi, I have decided recently (actually 3 months ago.) I am changing my name from "BlueWater Productions" to "Sahara Pictures" but that means I need a new logo for the begining of my fiilms. I have worked out a nice little sequence, but need someone who has a CGI program to actually make it for me... ...I will put your name in the list of credits as Logo Designer for every movie I use the logo on (that will be all of them) What follows is a short description of what the logo I want should look like. If anyone would like to help, please let me know by e-mailing me at "[email protected]" (no quotes of course
) Anyways, here is the description I want it to be animated--CGI---not a still logo. Ummm, the frame size would have to be 704x480---if that makes the file to large for the web to transfer, I can send you a CD with postage to send it back to me free of charge. Here's the description--- Okay, since Sahara is a dessert type thing I decided on an Egyptian type logo. It would be animated. I would like to be looking at blackness, then all of a sudden a flame flickers up (off camera) so that we can see what the wall says, but it is not a light, but a flame, so the light changes and shifts and is redish/orange etc. At first we see a hieroglyphic filled wall, with Egyptian people and gods etc. (like on any Egyptian movie etc.) then the flame dies out temporarily, and takes the scene to black, and then ALMOST immediately fades the flame back up (still flame--not a light) and instead of all the hieroglyphics it says is a "Hieroglyphic" font (I was looking at Matisse ITC font--I can send it if you don't have it.) and it has the words "Sahara Pictures" carved into the wall, and then the flame could die out and the scene would be black but the words should stay and become outlined (like the words "Jurassic Park" on the first Jurassic park movie---they become outlined and flamy looking) Then after a moment, those could fade to black. ---> For the hieroglyphics at the beginning, I was hoping for something like a one person (hieroglyphic looking) and that one god (I think it's Ra) with the head of a bird, and then the rest could just be something like you would see in a windings font (I can send as well...) If you would do this, I would put your name on every single movie that the logo is used for (all of them :-) ) and also give credit on my website---currently bluewaterproduction.com, but will change with the new name prob. to saharapictures.com if it's available---> I'll work on that.
Thanks Sooooo Much,
Mark Smith

Create it yourself with the free and powerful 3D-package Blender (has already been used in movies). Get it from http://www.blender.nl for a variety of OS and processor architectures. The site also includes tutorials, links, models and more. All the private SGI enthusiasts out there use it, including myself

Also, if you want to try out a very user friendly 3d animation program to get the hang of it go to www.anim8or.com
It does not render at professional quality, but it is a good place to start.
